I am a Cosmetic Registered Nurse AND Owner of SKINmas

I was a police officer in Victoria for almost 14 years. My final position upon resignation was a Sergeant in the city. Although I loved the fast paced action & diversity of policing, I wasn’t settled. I had always been passionate about skin & cosmetic procedures.I dreamed of being a cosmetic nurse but was somewhat ‘stuck’ in my policing role.
 
In 2015 I fell pregnant and my husband changed careers, taking a job that required us to move to Brisbane. I knew then that it was time to seize the moment & fulfill my dream.
I began studying nursing straight away, & took extended leave from the police force to have a second baby. I completed my degree & confidently handed in my resignation as a police officer. I began working as a recovery nurse in a private day hospital. I commenced training in cosmetic injectables at the Esteem Institute in 2017 and opened SKINmas in January 2018.
 

I have taken every training opportunity that arose and also injected for several months at a busy clinic in Brisbane. I continue to train, learn and enhance my skill set. I’ve completed advanced workshops and masterclasses with some world renowned aesthetic injectors, including Dr Mauricio De Maio, Dr Tapan Patel, Dr Arthur Swift, Dr Lee Walker, Dr Waldemar Wajdwicz, and Julie Horne.

I am a trainer with Avaderm (PDO Biothreads Australia) and frequently train other nurses and doctors in PDO threads.
 
I specialise in advanced injectables and non-surgical facelifts.
 

I never imagined that I would love my job as much as I do. I get so much fulfillment and reward from using my art to make people happier within themselves.

I’m Nurse Nicole’s husband.

I’m a former police tactical operative, counter terrorism negotiator and firefighter.

I am now the director of SKINmas skincare, and a published author.

My name is Ro

My name is Ro, I am so excited to officially be part of the SKINmas Squad!
Im originally from Ireland and have been a Registered Nurse for over 12 years. I have experience working in acute hospital settings as both a Nurse and a Midwife and I have also worked in private practice.
My interests in Aesthetics peeked a few years ago when I started to look tired and the first signs of ageing started to creep in. I then became obsessed with all things Aesthetics and in late 2019 I made the decision to pursue my passion as a career. I trained for 6months in a busy medical aesthetics clinic in advanced anatomy and physiology, antiwrinkle injections, dermal filler, cosmaceuticals, skin disorders,  skin needling and chemical skin peels.
 
I absolutely love my job and working closely with clients on their aesthetic journey is so rewarding for me. I am completely passionate about staying on top and ahead of the game. I love keeping up to date with techniques, treatments and products, ensuring my clients get the absolutely best treatment possible. Enhancing beauty, preventing premature ageing and correcting aesthetic concerns.
 
 

My name is MINA

I’m the newest member of SKINmas Squad.

After finishing high school, a long time ago, I decided to do my nursing training, because even at a young age I loved helping people. I started working as a new graduate nurse 20 years ago at the children’s hospital “Starship” in Auckland, NZ.

I am a results driven person and always strive to develop my skills and gain knowledge. I’ve worked 4 Acute hospitals between NZ and Australia in both Private and Public sectors. As well as being a theatre scrub nurse and assisting in surgery, I have worked in Nursing Education and Management. I have loved my career so far. To me there’s nothing more satisfying than helping others feel better. And this leads to why I wanted to get into Aesthetics.

I am currently undergoing my Aesthetics training and being mentored by Nicole and Ro. I can’t wait to meet you all and to be a part of your journey here at SKINmas.

My name is Maddy

My name is Maddy & I am the Administrative Coordinator here at SKINmas.

I’ve been working at SKINmas casually for just over a year now while completing my Bachelors degree in Nursing.


While my studies have been put on hold for the meantime, I was lucky enough to have been given the opportunity to work in clinic full-time & advance into my new role as Administrative Coordinator.
As someone who strives for continuous personal & professional development, I love the challenges that come with this role as it’s allowed me to further expand my capabilities.


I love working alongside Nicole & the team here at SKINmas, each have a wealth of knowledge & are incredible in their specialties!

I’ll be here at reception ready to meet and greet you when you come into our beautiful SKINmas Sanctuary! 

When I’m not here in clinic, I’m a busy mum to 4 beautiful kids aged 8, 6 and 4 yr old twin boys. If that doesn’t keep me busy enough, in my spare time I study!  
 
Before having kids, which seems a life time ago.. I worked as a retail manager for many years in a busy jewellery chain both here in Australia and overseas in Canada.  
 
 I absolutely love being part of the SKINmas Squad & I look forward to meeting you all soon xx
